Chlorine Dioxide is a chemical compound made up of one atom of chlorine and two atoms of oxygen.
Do not confuse ClO₂ with typical household chlorine bleach or HTH. Chlorine dioxide is actually an oxidizing agent, not a chlorinating agent.
Unlike alternative chemicals, ClO₂ reacts with organic matter through SELECTIVE OXIDATION rather than SUBSTITUTION and does not produce carcinogenic chlorinated byproducts.
ClO₂ has 2.5 times the oxidation capacity of Cl. Because ClO₂ is a strong oxidizer and works at significantly lower concentrations than alternative chemicals, it is significantly less corrosive.
No post ClO₂ application rinsing or wiping is required.
One of the most important qualities of chlorine dioxide is its high solubility in water, especially in cold water. Chlorine dioxide does not hydrolyze nor undergo a chemical breakdown reaction when it enters water.
Instead, chlorine dioxide remains intact as a dissolved gas in water.
Chlorine dioxide is approximately 10 times more soluble in water than chlorine (Cl).
Active and Stabilized chlorine dioxide are not the same substance.
Stabilized chlorine dioxide (NaClO2) products are prepared by buffering sodium chlorite (salt) with carbonate or phosphate and hydrogen peroxide. This stabilizes the chlorite, not chlorine dioxide. Stabilized chlorite is not the same as active chlorine dioxide and does not have the same oxidizing properties. It can be used as a LIQUID only and at significantly higher ppm concentrations. Active Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂) is a water soluble gas and can be used both in LIQUID & VAPOR Treatments.

All Reset Tablets and Paks can be activated and safely used as either a ‘GAS VAPOR’ to deeply penetrate and clean a confined space atmosphere and its porous and non-porous surfaces, or activated as a ‘LIQUID’ to be applied by sponge, mop, wet vacuum, sprayer or fogger onto virtually any surface or atmosphere to eliminate wide-spectrum pungent and resistant odor.
NO OTHER CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE HAS THIS CAPABILITY.
Step 1: Odor Source Identification, Removal & Restoration
HEPA filtration could be required. For best results, use both liquid and vapor protocols (Steps 2 & 3).
Step 2: Liquid Surface Application
Sprayers, Foggers, Mops, Sponges and Wet Vacuums are used for different targeted application challenges.
Step 3: Vapor Application
Step 4: Re-open, Air Out, Retest
Pour remaining Vapor concentrate down the toilet or drain. Re-take mold tests in same locations to determine treatment effectiveness.
Reset Pure ClO₂ tablets can be combined to activate either a VAPOR or LIQUID. For example, ten (10) 20g tablets + three (3) 100g tablets = 500 grams ClO₂.
ClO₂ Vaporing
Use a Medium (M) Deodorization Level to reset to neutral any environment from wide-spectrum pungent and resistant odors.
Use a High (H) Mold and Smoke Removal Level to remove difficult mold type issues or when deep cleaning.

Reset Pure ClO₂ is the lowest cost, easiest-to-use, high quality in-place ClO₂, available in the USA.
Reset is designed to rapidly generate use concentrations of pure chlorine dioxide that match internationally established application usage products.
Aeration
Aerators are highly effective at rapidly pushing the ClO₂ out of the concentrate. Aerators are not required with any Reset product. Vapor will release from Reset concentrates over a 3 to 24 hour period.
For best results, use the Reset Aerator to agitate the Reset ClO₂ concentrate when using Reset Red products. If not using an aerator, periodically agitate the concentrate manually to help release the vapor from the concentrate.
Recommended Activation Containers
Red 20g Tablets: use a 16 oz disposable plastic cup with 4-6 oz of tap water.
100 grams: use a 5 gallon bucket add 1/2 gallon of cold tap water and then add the Reset Tablets.
500 grams: in a 5 gallon bucket, add 2.5 gallons of water and then add the Reset Tablets.
